2024 Community Epilepsy Training Calendar

Epilepsy ACT regularly holds Community Epilepsy Training.  Epilepsy training helps create a safer community for people living with epilepsy, because no one should go it alone.

This specialised training is designed to equip participants to understand and effectively manage:
– epilepsy, and
– the proper administration of prescribed emergency medication (a crucial skill not covered in standard first aid training courses).
The training covers the following courses:
– Understanding and Managing Epilepsy (approximately 1 hour, and a prerequisite for the following AEM course)
– Administration of Emergency Medication (approximately 1 hour)
Upon completion of this session, attendees will receive a certification valid for a period of two years.
Training is extended free for people living with epilepsy, their family members and their unpaid carers.
